Obsessorize was a public arts exhibition in 2018 that took place on Madison Avenue, through collaboration between the Madison Avenue BID and the School of Visual Arts. Sponsored by Marie Claire Magazine, the exhibition included glass cases filled with distinctive bespoke accessories crafted from a collection of unique materials. Each accessory was crafted from a single item, whether it be a fishing net, a candlestick, or a chandelier, and inspired by the iconic fashion of decades past.
My chandelier-themed ensemble took its inspiration from flapper gowns, jewelry, and headpieces of the Roaring Twenties. After building a chandelier headpiece, I designed and crafted a bag and full body chain, using the same delicately-threaded chandelier crystals to complete the piece.
