Filipa Mota is a Portuguese-born graphic designer currently residing in San Francisco and working at Apple, Inc. She holds a BFA in 3D and Graphic Design from the School of Visual Arts in New York. As a student, her passion for delicate, vernacular-inspired design and commitment to fulfilling collaboration led her to work for New York agencies GB65, Rodrigo Corral Studio, Art Camp, and now to the West Coast, where she serves as a Junior Designer on the Apple Design Team.

As a 3D designer, her installation work has been displayed in multiple group exhibitions for the Madison Avenue Business Improvement District, Rockefeller Plaza Realty, and Times Square’s Design Pavilion (NYCxDesign).

She is humbled to have been recognized with prestigious industry honors including Graphis New Talent Awards in 2018 and 2020. Her work and interviews have also been featured in design publications such as Print Magazine and an upcoming Graphis retrospective for pioneering design educator Richard Wilde.

Aside from her creative passions, Filipa enjoys reading a good book, listening to live jazz, and thrifting through vintage stores for inspiration.
